John was born c1787 in Ripponden and married Lydia (surname probably HEY, born c1791) on 26th December 1814. John's occupation was a Weaver. His date of death is uncertain, but was probably before 1841, since the census for that year shows Lydia as head of household, listed with her children, but John is absent. John and Lydia are the direct ancestors of the McDanielson family, through their daughter Susy (Susey).

John and Lydia's children were: William 1816; Hannah 1817; James 1820; Fanny c1822; Joseph 1824; Isaac 1827; Susy 1830; all baptised in Ripponden.

Some possible traces of these children are found on the various census records, but the only certain record is of Susey, who married Jonas ASPINALL on 26th June 1853 at Elland Parish Church.

Susey and Jonas had four children so far known of, all born in Brighouse: James 1853; Sarah Jane c1856; Wilson c1862; Fred c1865.

Wilson married Harriet Ann Graham at Halifax in 1885 and they had one son so far known of, Miltonc1896 at Wyke, Bradford.

Fred married Frances Mary Rastrick at Halifax in 1887.

Susey was widowed in 1869 and in 1871 married William RIDER. She died in Halifax in 1903.
